To my Mom
It's been a month since the Angels came,
You knew, and you told me it was time.
I've had peace in my heart knowing you were ready,
And up until now I've been just fine.
I've stayed strong when comforting others,
Doing what I can to ease their pain.
I hadn't been sad or even shed a tear,
Till I realized Mother's Day would never be the same.
This comes to tell you how much it means to be your daughter.
All my life, you've been there for me, and now that I'm grown,
I can really understand how your love made a difference in my life.
And you're still there for me, listening, encouraging, sharing...
I want you to know that I do appreciate all that you've done and all that you will still do.
And especially on Mother's Day, I want you to know that I love you very much.
xoxo

Music verses T.V.
I have always loved music but watched a lot of tv like most people. One Saturday I had a list of house projects that I wanted to do. I was up earlier than usual so I sat down and watched a movie. It was a great movie. When it was over I saw the preview for the next movie. Wow, that's a great movie too I thought. Maybe I'd leave the TV on and just listen to it while I worked. It wasn't 5 minutes and I had plopped down on the couch and was watching this other movie. Before I knew it, it was 9pm. I had sat on that damn couch all day and watched TV. It wasn't so much that I didn't do anything on my to do list, it was the fact that I let a whole day pass me by. A day that I would never get back. It was that day that I decided to quit watching tv and replaced it with music. It's now been 3 years since I watched tv.
I started with ipods then quickly moved to YouTube and Pandora. One day I was on Facebook when I saw a post that mentioned a playlist and listed a few songs that I liked so I clicked on it. It took me to a site called Spotify. I couldn't listen to the songs until I downloaded the program so I did that. The site had a friend list which had one person on it, my friend Tonya from high school. Since then I have been hooked on Spotify and listen to it constantly. I rarely listen to the radio feature because I have so many playlists. There are now over 30 people on my list but I'll always remember when it was just Tonya and I. It's fun to watch it grow and become more popular.
Yesterday I got an email from MySpace Music. I hadn't thought about my MySpace account in forever because I haven't used it since I quit hanging with those certain people. Don't bother looking for it, I created it so that anyone that knew me would never find it. Yeah, it was in my wilder days and full of stuff that makes me blush now. But that's a different article, lol... Anyways, I wanted to know how the new MySpace music player compared to all the others so I went to check it out. Wow, they have changed a lot. It's obvious they are working hard to make a comeback. Not only with the music player but the layout themes and function ability. I am impressed but not enough to leave spotify or facebook. If you're like me and left your MySpace account in the past you might just check it out and see how it's improved lately. I doubt I'll use it again but I never say never.
No matter what outlet you use, listen to music more and watch tv less. In my opinion, music makes the world go around. There is every kind of music for every kind of feeling or mood you will have. When I miss him, I play our old last playlist. When I'm pissed, I listen to the Attitude or Rock playlist. If I'm just chillin I may listen to Jazz. It all depends on what mood I'm in so I have a playlist for every mood. Music is with me wherever I go and whatever I am doing and because of it, I FEEL, I LIVE AND I EXPERIENCE EACH DAY.
Tell it like you feel it, I always say.
